Die EU möge beschließen sämtliche gängigen berauschenden Substanzen zu entkriminalisieren und kontrolliert an Konsumenten abzugeben, begleitet von Aufklärungs- und Hilfsangeboten. Drugchecking und Konsumräume sind EU-weit einzuführen. Konsumenten mit problematischem Konsumverhalten ist Hilfe anzubieten !

Primary responsibility for drug policy lies with the Member States, however we welcome that harmonisation and knowledge sharing at the EU level is highlighted in some strategic documents, such as the EU Drugs Strategy 2021 - 2025. This strategy sets a good precedent by focusing on risk- and harm-reduction policies, although we find it could be more ambitious in its goals. We believe that the current war on drugs has ultimately led to lower protection for the most vulnerable groups of society, unnecessary sentencing and poor legal certainty for people who use drugs within the EU. That is why instead of repressive policies, we are pushing for an evidence-based approach to drug policy with a strong focus on harm reduction. For instance, we have established an informal group for personal use of cannabis within the European Parliament, where we exchange best practices and try to help Member States move forward with legalisation of cannabis for personal use. Additionally, we organise expert roundtables with scientists and patient organisations, to discuss the emerging use of psychedelic drugs in psychotherapy.
